You are receiving this message because you live in the vicinity of an attempted burglary / theft from motor vehicle that occurred on Rhodesway during the early hours of Sunday 19 April 2026.

Incident details

At approximately 02:16hrs on Sunday 19 April 2026, an unknown suspect entered the driveway of the property. The suspect attempted the door handle on the right-hand side of the house and then entered a vehicle parked on the driveway by unknown means.

The suspect carried out an untidy search of the vehicle before leaving the area on foot in an unknown direction.

It is currently unclear if any items were stolen.

The incident is believed to have occurred between 02:16hrs and 02:30hrs.

How you can help

1. CCTV / Doorbell Cameras
If you have CCTV or a doorbell camera, please check for any activations between 02:00hrs and 03:00hrs on Sunday 19 April 2026. Even footage showing a person walking through the area may be useful.

2. Check your door locks
If you have composite or uPVC doors fitted with a cylinder lock, please check the condition of the lock.

Ensure that:

The lock is fitted correctly

You are satisfied with its security rating

We recommend 3‑star anti‑snap cylinder locks, which will have three stars marked on the front and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many locksmiths and retailers supply these locks.
